TURKEY FEAST FOR SENIOR ADULTS
Join Ridgeland Recreation & Parks for our annual Senior Adult Turkey Feast. It will be noon-1:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Highlands Presbyterian Church, located at 1160 Highland Colony Parkway, in Ridgeland. A Thanksgiving meal and a special program by One Way Quartet will be featured. Tickets are $5 and are available at Ridgeland Recreation & Parksí office and the Ridgeland Recreational Center. COUNTRY LINE DANCING
Ridgeland Recreation & Parks is offering a Country Line Dancing Class every Monday evening. Beginners Line Dancing Class will start at 6Ė7 p.m. Advanced Line Dancing will begin at 7:15-8:45 p.m. Classes will be held at the Ridgeland Recreational Center located at Old Trace Park. RESTORATION & RELAXATION YOGA
Ridgeland Recreation & Parks is offering Restoration & Relaxation Yoga for beginners.
This is a great class for those who are beginning an exercise class or rehabbing from an injury. Offered at a slower pace this class will focus on the basics of yoga, breathe work and movement. These gentle movements will not add stress to the joints. Classes will meet every Monday and Friday, 11-11:30 a.m. Cost is $5 a class. YOGA FOR FLEXIBILITY, FITNESS, AND FUN
Ridgeland Recreation & Parks is offering Yoga classes for Flexibility, Fitness, & Fun! Class will meet every Monday and Friday, at 11:30 A.M. Ė 12:00 P.M. Cost is $5/class. Lisa Newman is the instructor, and she will guide you through gentle stretching and strengthening exercises for your whole body. This class is for those who have had some experience with Yoga. TAI-CHI FUSION ON THE RESERVOIR FOR SENIOR ADULTS
Ridgeland Recreation & Parks is offering a Tai-Chi Fusion on the Reservoir every Wednesday morning, 11-11:30 a.m. This class meets at the Ridgeland Recreation Center, located at Old Trace Park. Cost of class is $8 per class or $20 for four-week course. Tai-Chi has become an increasingly popular form of physical exercises around the world as a basic exercise program and as a complement to health care methods. A few of the benefits are: increased flexibility and reduced risk of injury, focused breathing and concentration, improves mind-body connection, greater strength and stamina, better balance and stability, improved posture, stress reduction, and much more.
